I’m Damon C. Williams — a West Philadelphia journalist, author, and communications strategist who has spent nearly three decades telling stories that matter.
My career has taken me from neighborhood blocks to state government offices, from breaking newsrooms to community boardrooms. I’ve written for USA TODAY, the Philadelphia Daily News, the Philadelphia Tribune, and the Bucks County Courier Times, covering everything from politics and public policy to culture, community, and the everyday lives of Philadelphians.
Along the way, I’ve learned that good communication isn’t just about information — it’s about connection. It’s about helping people understand each other, helping organizations speak with purpose, and helping communities see themselves reflected in the stories we tell.
That belief is what led me to create Scribble Industries, a communications consultancy built for nonprofits, small businesses, creatives, and public‑facing organizations that need a stronger, clearer voice. I help clients shape their message, build trust, and tell their stories with intention.
I still live in West Philadelphia, where my work — and my heart — remain rooted in the communities that shaped me.
Whether I’m writing, teaching, strategizing, or helping an organization find its voice, my goal is always the same: to make communication clearer, stronger, and more human.
